Living Prism presents:
༺ PRiMAL ༻

Join us for a magical journey through primordial soundscapes. A multifaceted cocreation of ancestral ambiance with live painters, artisan vendors, a complimentary tea lounge & music by:

Deya Dova
Australia

Hailing from the expansive Nullarbor desert in Australia and currently based in the Byron Bay area, it is like Singer Producer Deya Dova fell out of the stars on an ancient piece of space rock. One of the few female electronic producers and a ground breaking vocalist recording live at sacred sites, Deya Dova fuses the earthy human-ness and sensual power of her voice with the cutting edge futurism of Global Bass music.

Synthesizing ancient Songlines / Tribal voices and evocative Story telling with Cinematic soundscapes, Whomping bass, textural Glitch and Totemic beats, Deya Dova invokes a mythic temple vibe and brings euphoric tribalism to the dance floor.

Yaima
Seattle, WA

YAIMA is an old word meaning “that which water runs through,”
a conduit for diverse musical languages. Their sound is rooted in the rich depth of tradition through biological beats, folkloric storytelling and mystical melodies. They reach towards our compelling, technological future by weaving live instrumentation and vocals over lush electronic layers, seamless soundscapes, and body-blooming bass.

Yaima is a confluence of musicians Pepper Proud, Masaru Higasa, and Jeff Kimes from the Cascadia region. When these kindred souls get together they achieve a new harmonic element. Having evolved out of the traditional model of what a “band” is thought to be, they deliver a well sculpted creative energy that engages the imagination and leaves people feeling inspired and awakened. Their audience feels as if they had just participated in a choose-your-own-adventure story within a musical experience.

Dance performances by TransformOtion

TransformOtion is a movement experience that honors the sacredness of the dance. It honors our lineage by acknowledging our capacity to heal our self and our communities through movement. We arrive in the space with a spirit of self-discovery and with a desire for self-mastery in mind, body, and emotion.

We use our physical form to create opportunities for expansion in mind and spirit. Where movement has become blocked, restricted, and lifeless, we use our bodies to increase flow and awakening.

We heal our emotional and physical wounds by changing our relationship to our body and the world around us. We witness each other’s struggles and victories, honoring the journey of each dancer and the community as a whole.
